It feels like this pressure can sometimes get in the way of what makes a new season great. In contrast, you can really feel the confidence this team has with Frieren. Taking away all the stress and crazy hardships everyone making the show probably goes through, it feels like it would be super satisfying to be on the team. Everything seems so in sync, from the directing to the soundtrack to the animation. Another example of a show giving me this feeling of confidence is the first episode of season 2 of Vinland saga. It set the tone right away and did not try to do anything insane to hook everyone in. The show itself is the hook.
