pause as much as you want!! It is a huge info dump, and even though I think I understand what’s going on, it really helps when you pause midway to talk things through or reassure yourselves. Having another perspective really helps when the info gets dense

2026-01-16 04:58:41 +0000 UTCJust a part I wanted to add, the reason they are husks is because they were given the cursed objects ahead of time to incarnate the curses that he made binding vows with in the Heian era. Since this was done before their brains and bodies had been transfigured to accommodate curses, the cursed objects acted as a poison, attacking their body and their soul. This is what let them lie dormant for so long, part of their vow with Kenjaku to only fully release the seal on their cursed energy and incarnate once they had been transfigured; under normal circumstances they would simply have died from the curse and all that would be left is their dead body and the cursed object.

I found this way easier to follow along and understand than the manga, but it's still A LOT. I believe this is the part where a lot of people start to get lost, and because they're lost and don't understand what's going on anymore they start disliking it or calling it bad writing. But since you guys both have massive hulking craniums i have faith that you won't let the words of those people sway you. The culling game is so peak if you understand it

He AWAKENED the cursed techniques of PRESENT individuals whose cursed techniques were DORMANT up to that point via BRIAN ALTERATIONS. 2. He turned people into VESSELS, and INHABITED INTO THEM SOULS OF SORCERES FROM 1000 YEARS AGO (Heian era). Think of it as turning people into empty husks, with only their BODY, and then being forced into them a SOUL of a heian era sorcerer. ANGEL is an example of this Both of these things were done via IDLE TRANSFIGURATION.

That's why they should have emphasised Megumi's sadness and desperation more last episode, because Tsumiki is all that matters to him, even over himself
