2025-11-02 05:08:00 +0000 UTCWhat do we have…like…20ish almost 30 episodes left before post Dressrosa? Shorter than I remember the count being, honestly lol

2025-11-02 02:09:24 +0000 UTCBellamy might have looked different in this flashback because they used the scene from the movie Episode of Skypiea, which has updated animation/art style, instead of the scene from the original episode

2025-11-01 19:33:01 +0000 UTCI would argue that Doffy and Trebol are essentially using the same tactic of deliberately getting under people's skin so they don't think (as Law points out), it's just that it doesn't hit the same when Trebol does it because, by virtue of him being a humanized slug, the average person has a visceral disgust reaction to him that makes you annoyed before he even opens his mouth so, ironically, what he's saying is the thing people probably pay attention to the least. Whereas Doffy is a lot more "fine-tuned" and subtle. Trebol just kind of bulldozes you with annoying statement after annoying statement, but Doffy is very deliberate about what he says and when he says it (not to mention him inherently being more conventionally attractive and having an added charisma is good for making the average person drop their guard). And he's SO good at it that, even when you're someone as seasoned as Law who KNOWS Doffy's game and KNOWS he has to keep a cool head - Doffy still tricks him into falling for it anyway.

2025-11-01 15:09:52 +0000 UTCDoffy says he told Law "The weak have no choice about how they die". This is exactly what Law told Tashigi back in Punk Hazard. I only noticed now after all the rewatches because another reactor released that PH episode just yesterday.

2025-11-01 14:53:45 +0000 UTC'' The weak don't get to chose how they die '' Law said the same thing to Tashigi when he defeated her Now not only is he the one on the other side of that conversation but he actually picked it up from Doflamingo. Curious what you think that might imply for characters like Roger and Whitebeard who, illness aside, did get to choose how they die in the end.
