I am a new watcher here and I have to say the introduction of this arc captivates me already through its focused exploration of gambling, using it as a mechanic to suggest that something unusual is unfolding with the blind character. Although I hear that this arc has terrible pacing even in this introductory episode however, the delicate balance of intrigue, mystery, humor, and the surrounding circumstances of gambling and this enigma of a character, ensures the episode remains engaging. Without revealing too much, the narrative successfully builds curiosity about things like the animated toys, the blind man and the overall atmosphere of this new land, while avoiding any sense of fatigue or lag.
