2025-08-30 07:18:10 +0000 UTCi like that the servants all have different matchups/ situations where they shine more than others, and that its not strictly class based but depends more on the heroic spirit summoned. lancer is better in duels, rider better in large scale battles, and saber for destroying fortresses and castles, and archer being a ranged fighter with destructive power as well.

The original quote if I'm not mistaken is from the story of Buddha's birth. JJk uses the direct quote (the series has a lot of buddhist themes, a lot of the handsigns, the five eyes in buddhism in the six eyes in jjk, Gojo's awakening against Toji parralels with the birth of the Buddha) In more modern Chinese, the quote 天上天下唯我獨尊 has taken a slightly different meaning, where 唯我獨尊 now means someone who is extremely arrogant as if they're the most important person in the world. I suspect this is the case in Japanese as well since our languages have so much in common. Gilga only says the 天上天下 bit but his pride is evident. There's definitely a lot of things in jjk that they take straight out of other series but idk if this counts as one tbh (disclaimer: I'm Chinese but I'm not a Buddhist nor an expert in Buddhism.)
