i know its a controversial show but the talk of reaching the root in regards to magic is also explored in fairy tail, as well as some other magic focused manga and manwha. It seems to be a common theme for mages to want to reach the origin or source of magical phenomena, usually to comprehend and control said phenomena to further their power or influence within their world. presumably the tohsaka and lancer's master want to use the grail to reveal the root or a path to reach it, for both glory and research purposes. thanks for the reactions to this series btw, it seems a lot of reaction channels are hesitant to start fate due to perceived watch order and complexity. IMO as long as the movies are watched last it doesn't matter too much which u start with. i hope u guys will complete the ufotable fate series at least.

Hopefully, the episodes will be posted a bit more frequently 😅 How do you kick off the second half of a show in the most epic way possible? With a full-on dogfight between a UFO and an F-15 fighter jet, of course! Tokiomi’s speech gave us a deeper look into the mage perspective. His ideals are similar to El Melloi's (Lancer’s master), but he comes across as more sympathetic - probably because we often see him through Rin’s eyes, and she idolizes her father. Still, at the end of the day, both are consumed by the same thing: the burning ambition and pride of mages - the overwhelming drive to reach the Root Thank you for reaction and discussion!
