It isn't just the direction of the anime and although it has seen major improvements over the last several hundred episodes, but really its oda's execution of the story itself. He's pacing things a bit better in my opinion and creating writing scenarios that are more complex, multi-layered and dynamic. I mean we are getting lore in dressrosa already, lots of subtle wano foreshadowing and many characters being more prominent in their respective roles. So, the writing flows better. Whoever said PH is the weakest arc needs to get their head examined.

2025-08-13 05:16:18 +0000 UTCAs you get into the new world, you see a definite decrease of cannon fodder type enemies especially as like generals or captains of a crew, which is a good thing because Oda focuses more on key battles and significant encounters that serve to move the story forward instead of hinder it. Punk hazard deffinitly illustrates that change.
