Absolutely loved your observations on Badeni. I only heard about this show when you guys started reacting to it and had to come back for them once I had seen it but these reactions are so good.

2025-09-13 13:54:26 +0000 UTCI personally think Badeni is just inherently a sort of selfish and also classist person i.e a product of his times- the prominent belief of only a certain privileged class having access to knowledge and information. It was maybe from that experience of being betrayed by his friend/colleague, but since introduction he has always seemed to only look out for himself and his interests. While he does have the immense passion and thirst to know about all there is to know and the "truth", he also seems to revel in the opportunity to be the only one who knows it and the one who gets to share that knowledge to the world, under his name and fame. And he seems to have a superiority complex. It's always great when movies and shows follow these kind of flawed characters. Also when he says he doesn't like to share knowledge with people lower(not as educated as him), I think he means it in the way that he thinks they won't be able to understand and hence will malign that information or spread misinformation. Hence why he thinks he's the best "messenger" when it comes to heliocentrism and also doesn't want anyone else to piggyback off of his work like when he first said while discovering the research work and letter.
