2025-06-30 09:45:59 +0000 UTCI stayed up till 4 AM in the morning last night catching up with the episodes and I have to say. Holy crap!!! Where Do I even begin with this one? So if the WG has been studying Gigantification for hundreds of years, does that mean other experimental labs like this one exist in the world and the WG has been trying to bolster a Giant army? 🤯What a bombshell that changes everything. I don't even know how to react to this new information. Does that mean parts of the giant race in the OP world could be man made? I don't even know. This is crazy. Doesn't that also insinuate that Chopper is using some form of Gigantification with his Rumble balls. I mean they are kind of like drugs, aren’t they? Scientifically manufactured with synthetic chemicals to create a spherical pill which enhances his abilities of various forms. But one of those pills makes him a Giant. Just an observation. After the awesome last ep cliffhanger when Law revealed to luffy that he wants to form an alliance. You see the juxtaposition of a more serious character like law mingling with the comical straw hats and it made for some very interesting meme worthy expressions. Even though parts of it weren’t in the manga, it was really entertaining. Law's interactions w/ the crew are hilarious! The episode introduces the main antagonist, Caesar Clown, and his Logia-type Gasu Gasu no Mi (Gas-Gas Fruit) who is a scientist who worked with vp sometime in the past and lastly “smiley” which is a huge slime like monster from Dragon quest. An iconic creature of Japanese media that is still so successful in modern times. Well, when I think slime, that’s what I remember, but im sure its origins can be dated far back in works like H.P love craft and even old classic vintage films. Anyways cool to see an amoeba like slime in one piece. Man I am so glad I’m watching this arc finally, I’m gaining so much more context that I other wise never had in this series.
