Because of two things: * "am I a better actor than my father?" * no blood when getting shot in the sternum, while a grazing shot bleeds down her arm * jinshis emphasizing not ever seeing "loulan" again Also wtf is that on maomaos neck? Also also I think that was maomaos hairpin just with better animation. I think we saw the intricacies of jinshis hairpin also for the first time Final also: jinshi as commander is a fucking idiot for going in a cramped space first 🤣

Now, to me, the long dance from this adaptation feels like it takes away from Loulan's setup/acting that was originaly the focus. In the LN it felt like she only danced as she was going to fall from the balcony while being shot.
