2025-05-21 09:11:19 +0000 UTCSoru or "Shave" was one of the six techniques that was used for speed on the ground, basically just kicking/stomping the ground at high speed to propell yourself in any direction, that's the one Luffy learned at Enies Lobby. Geppo or "Moon Walk" is the ability to jump in mid air, basically kick the air hard enough that you propell yourself in the opposite direction. Kamisori or "Razor" was Lucci's variation of/combination of Geppo and Soru, in both the anime and manga its characterized by zig zag lines that sort of imply that he is building momentum (It reminds me of Pikachu using quick attack). Sky Walk is basically the same as Moon Walk, Sanji just learned it completely by himself rather than studying a pre existing technique so he named it and its a part of his own fighting style. Same thing with Blue Walk, its just an underwater variation. I really like the use of ability names to sort of show allegiances or to show where/who someone studied under. Its also super cool when a character makes a variation of a known technique to incorporate it into their own style and gives it a new name showing that its their own creation.

2025-05-20 10:01:23 +0000 UTCI fell in love with Moon Walk ever since CP9 first showcased it, I'm soooo glad Sanji incorporated it in his Sky Walk. Along with Diable Jambe, Sanji makes up my favorite fighter in the show. Personal preference and all.
