One Piece Episode 539 UNCUT REACTION!

Comments

I hope people didnt spoil the connection between Sabaody and Arlong Park...that kinda sucks to be spoiled on that cool detail.

You should see a doctor. That doesn't sound healthy

I keep forgetting that the majority of people are week-to-week watcher, so the flashbacks are sometimes necessary when you have such a long serialising series like One Piece.

Love that callback to Baratie, one of my favorite arcs! It was Patty who was about customer service (if they have money), and Sanji was more gritty because people who are fed (not starving) are satisfied. But yea I love how One Piece puts two ideals against each other many times in the story. Even thought there is usually one ideal that is supposed to be the "winner", the other side is usually given a fair fight, or at least is shown to come from some place of common sense.

Hordy Jones is a Great White Shark Fish-man, Dosun is a Hammerhead Shark Fish-man, Zoe is a Japanese wobbegong shark Fish-man, Daruma is a Cookiecutter Shark Fish-man, Ikaros Much is a giant squid Fish-man, Hyozou is a Blue Ringed Octopus Merman. Vander Decken is a Japanese Bullshark Fishman, and Wadatsumi is a Tiger Blowfish Fishman

Envyus

I don’t know why, but the anime leaves out the info boxes saying the types of the New Fishman Pirates officers and Flying Pirates members.

One underrated detail about Luffy in this episode is the way he's drinking hot beverages. In the past there was instances where he'd burn himself, and since he's been more careful and slowly blows over it, happened in Shakky's bar for example. Now he's drinking almost elegantly lmao.

Yeah that last sentence was for the cut off to the next episode. Not sure what that comment meant, but Caribou kidnapping mermaids is indeed part of the story, some bits may be extended but that's it really.

What Hody forced people to do with Otohime's picture is also known as Fumi-e, used in Japan in 1629 against Christians. (Cf. Wikipedia) "A fumi-e (踏み絵, fumi "stepping-on" + e "picture") was a likeness of Jesus or Mary onto which the religious authorities of the Tokugawa shogunate of Japan required suspected Christians to step, in order to demonstrate that they were not members of the outlawed religion; otherwise they would be tortured or killed."

Hope you are feeling better Carson

Was frothing at the mouth and begging on my knees for your reactions all day long.
