it's ironic how Anshi made the rear palace clinic to give her fellow CSA victims a place where they could find a purpose since she couldn't give them their freedom, but it ended up resulting in at least one of them participating in a conspiracy that caused her losing multiple grandchildren since they are also their abuser's grandchildren
also harrowing to think about the "there's no one waiting for us on the outside, not now, not ever" line in the light of what Anshi said/thought in her flashback about her father and others sending their pre-teen daughters in there fully knowing what would be done to them, their parents deserved to be beaten with sticks

Before listening to to Lindsey's theory, I was of the opinion that Shisui was just in on it and it was a fake hostage. But I think she's actually right. These are two separate factions with a similar but ultimately different goal. And if Shisui is actually kidnapped now, Shishou actually has a reason to work with the others to get her back.
Also, Suirei's methods have always been extremely cautious, setting up "accidents" that nobody even realizes were planned. The gun plot could never have been sold as an "accident", you can't accidently get shot with a state of the art firearm. At best you could pin it on the west, which with Shishou's large political schemes, might have been a secondary benefit. Where as Suirei has a personal vendetta.
