Mihawk wasn't there because he was ordered to Marineford for the war, so when he showed up this episode he was just getting home from work just to find his future rival and some girl hanging out on his property lol

Day 1: The Celestial Dragon incident; The crew gets separated, Ace's execution is announced through the News. Day 4: Each of them travel for around 3days before landing. Day 4-5: Luffy learns there's 6 days remaining before Ace's execution. Day 10: Events of Impel Down Day 11 : Events of Marineford and the news travel around the world.

2025-03-19 07:44:50 +0000 UTCLove the focus on Zoro especially after Thriller Bark Seems like Oda's using Perona as a literal ghost of his sacrifice during that arc still haunting him til now. Having him and Mihawk meet like this feels great too. Zoro talking Luffy's physical pain but not being there for his emotional one feels like a mirror to Kuina's death too. He was supporting her but couldn't prevent her death. '' Humans are fragile things, Zoro '' from his master during the flashback He's always burdened by this anxiety to not be strong enough to protect. And the trauma with Kuina is a constant reminder of that.
