About: Hata Tenten is one of those Shinobi whose mission profile is skewed toward D-Ranks and C-Ranks, largely because she has taken a more administrative role over the past few years. This was a trend that began during the Konoha-Oto War when she became an Aide to the Quartermaster-General of Konoha, Akimichi Choza, and continued up to the present day. That should not be taken as proof of her inability as a front-line combatant, however. Hata Tenten knows more about various weapon styles than any other Tokubetsu Jonin in the Konoha Shinobi Forces, and she backs that up with a mastery of the Strong Fist style of Taijutsu, solid Fuuinjutsu, and a decent repertoire of Iryoninjutsu (Medical Ninjutsu) techniques. She is also capable of opening some of the Eight Celestial Gates up to the Tomon (Gate of Pain).
All in all, her perennial assignment to Konoha's Quartermaster's Department should not be taken at all as an indication that she cannot make it as a front-line Shinobi, and the last Shinobi who said as much, a Shinobi from Kusa's Chosokabe Clan named Kensuke, found himself beaten to a pulp in a duel in short order.
