2024-12-13 00:02:50 +0000 UTCIts fine to compare elements of both shows however so many antifans compare EVERYTHING. I distinctly remember people hating on Naga because she is not Appa. Literally no companion would have compared to Appa no matter what, it would literally be impossible. This is a different show with very different themes but so many fans wanted The Last Airbender 2. There is another aspect to antifans who often compare Korra to Aang and love power scaling them. Like who actually cares about powerscaling in the Avatar universe.

Also, your timing for reacting to the show is impeccable because we’re just now getting leaks and information about the next Avatar TV series about the Avatar after Korra.

I use to dislike this series and there’s still elements I don’t like, but over time I just learn how to accept and differentiate the two series for what they are. Now even though I’m indifferent to this show I still love certain part and even recommend this show to certain friends.

Yes, ATLA had so many iconic themes, but just the Korra soundtrack as a whole, listening to it on it’s own, especially the calm tracks, incredible. Also, the benefit of watching a newer show, even though Avatar probably looks really good in the blu-ray version, is the widescreen aspect ratio, higher resolution and more detailed animation, but ATLA never had bad animation, only the 4:3 and lower resolution without blu-ray will always be inferior. And yes, if something was ever to happen to Tenzin… that’s why, like Sasuke in Naruto, they both should’ve repopulated as quickly as possible, instead of only having kids with a single woman, and in Sasuke’s case, only having a single daughter as his offspring, and I’m sure that the wives would understand, accept, and encourage it 100%, considering how very important it is, and their husbands still loving them and their “real” kids unconditionally.
