LAST THING
the ringworms infected my whole home and i grew another one on my knee and my other cat got it. Three of my cats are quarantined separately and it’s been a month battle with this 😭😭😭😭😭😭 my vet called me the ringworm queen LMAO. 2025-02-03 21:02:49 +0000 UTClmaoo ringworm queen ugh im sorry to be annoying but ive dealt w it and am also dealing with it with my kitten rn but i took a bunch of vitamin c and just scrubbed everything i also used an enzyme cleaner specifically for cats and i think that helped if you can just try to suit up and keep them separated but it just takes time to go away we’ve had my baby in the bathroom for almost a month now quarantining is probably the best way to keep it from spreading im so sorry its going on for so long but give it time!!! also im just saying theres only so much you can do and dont stress too much about it!!

I wish I had ringworm advice for you but I've only ever owned one cat and she's never had it😅 my oldest dog (who's gone now) she I think got it when she was a puppy because her stomach was bloated but I think they just gave her medication and it was gone in a couple of days. I could be misremembering that too since I was like 12/13 at the time as well😅

Even if you have them separated, if the infestation is in the ambient, they will get it again. That’s my experience. Also if I remember correctly when I was a kid my parents used to rub alcohol on my ringworms to disinfect and make them go away or bathe and soak in a disinfectant called Dettol. I started getting into LDS because of you and I’m such a Sylus girl 🥵🥵 lol I live in the US too and honestly I’m worried for my family and friends since some of them are immigrants (either documented or not or in the process) so the best I can do is just educate them and spread the word of any ICE sightings 😞 and I’m sorry about your ring worm!! I practice in combative sports that required a lot of skin contact so I know a thing or two about skin infections 😅but idk about dealing with cat to person contact but what I do whenever I get ring worm is I disinfect the area with hydrogen peroxide then use an over the counter anti fungal ointment (ones that ends with -zole) and cover it up with a bandaid to prevent it from spreading. And sometimes I let it air out a bit that way the ringworm infected area is not being incubated with the bandaid. For your cats I suggest covering the area with them wear baby clothes to prevent spreading and of course separating them and disinfecting the areas they like to hang out in. Hopefully this helps out!! 💕💕

Vacuum carpets & rugs super good (might need to get them professionally cleaned); hot water laundry with bleach or hydrogen peroxide (which is color-safe bleach!) for sheets, clothes, sofa covers if they’re fabric + removable, cat beds, anything kitties & you come in contact with; clean cat brushes & toys with hot water and soap or bleach if possible; and prob throw away anything that can’t be disinfected. Hope you can get rid of it once and for all!! 🤞🏽

You're gonna wanna disinfect everything, we're talking about lysol, washing, sunlight levels. If you have long nails get them off, keep nails short and hands clean. You touched your ringworm? Wash your hands, use gloves, don't sleep in the same Pj's every night. Do not scratch! Have you also thought that you might be susceptible to pet fungus? I have to practice caution with my pets, as nailbeds can easily catch ringworm.from pets. Just make sure to wash and be sterile as possible. I understand your pain my ringworm outbreaks bled at one point 😭.
