"Tuija, you don't want to do that," Tapan touched Casia's hand. He has seen few times what happens when Casia goes to fight. She is not an experienced fighter, but she changes in a horrifying way when the fight starts. Tapani has seen Casia going to rage that happens with Berserkers.
Tuija was staring at Casia. She didn't accept outsiders to interfere in their matters, especially when an outsider was a foreigner from far lands. Casia was staring at her back. Her dark eyes were burning, and she was ready to fight. Casia would not allow them to torture this woman more than they have done to her.
"Step away and leave that bitch to me, or you will regret that. I will continue what I have started with her," Tuija shouted to Casia.
"You are animal," Casia answered with her language but continued with the broken local language, "She looks like you have done enough with her."
Casia remembered how Tapani carried her away from the place where she was tortured. He felt safe and strong, and she was happy to fall asleep on his lap. This woman didn't have any protector.
More and more villagers were gathering around. Jorma knew how popular Tapani was in the village; most people have got a colossal fortune from his trips. He was not sure how they would react when Tapani was protecting Raisa.
"Tapani, it would have been better for her if she jumped to her death from the castle wall as princesses did," Jorma said to Tapani. Common people didn't know that Tapani was paid to transport princesses to the east to be sold to slavery. Everybody knew they committed suicide after their parents were killed.
"But she didn't do that," Tapani answered, “and now she is your prisoner. I would like to take her down.”
Tapani knew Raisa and Boris before the war, and he felt bad to see Raisa in this condition.
“We don’t want her here!” One villager shouted.
“She killed one of us!” Another continued.
“Kari deserved that,” Someone was answering.
