This scene taught me again to always remember there always 2 sides of a coin... I agree with you, it seemed all Kenny decision is to redeem his 'sins' throughout his life including by leaving Levi to grow on his own. My heart breaks as Levi learn about their relationship, his face softened, puzzled... its an expression we never seen from Levi. Cant wait to his growth!!

I feel so bad for Kenny - he was an awful person, but I feel like he had gone down a dark path and didn't feel like redemption was possible. There's a running on theme with many characters of not being able to "go back to how things were" and I think Kenny felt like potentially getting the Titan power was of course a way to gain power, but a chance for him to redeem himself from his twisted ways and gain a sort of enlightenment? What breaks my heart is when he leaves Levi, it feels like he has realized that he has started to lead him down the same path, and feels since he himself is "unredeemable" that he just needs to stay out of Levi's life in order to give him a chance of being a good person. Seeing Levi smile in the end makes me feel like that decision of leaving Levi gave him the chance of becoming a compassionate person.
