Hi Spooky! You hit the nail on the head again! I didnt look at the scene where Lights final moment was him regain his humane side again, as L's ghost appeared. I think deeply what that meant for a few days but i still dont get it until you mentioned this! That was so heart breaking as i kind of wished L's still alive somewhere. Agreee! Death Note leaves me an indescribable feeling... Thankyou for watching too Spooky!

I grinded through a bunch of episodes today and wanted to touch back on this one briefly - What an amazing finale and such somber emotions overflow! I have to say form an overall storytelling point, it's so amazing how we start out with the thought of like "oh yeah having a death note would be cool" and then we see how twisted it can turn someone like Light - but I think the thing that really gets me is not only at the end its a relief that Light was finally stopped, but it's hard not to have some pity for him in his final moments, acting like a scared injured animal. It seems like to me the last bit of humanity Light had was shown when the "ghost" of L took watch over Lights last moments. I'm glad you watched this series and got to experience such a unique anime! I definitely am a major fan of One Piece and it has many majorly positive moments, and touching sad moments - but Death Note really leaves you with a distinct feeling thats hard to put into words.
