Ohmyy you're take on animes always blow my mind!! The detail of how they are all has crazy side and how they're willing to push their limit to even endangered their own life is kinda primal to these characters... This give me new perspective on the scene where L was genuinely surprised, and ofc surprised us too, totally make sense now....😭

2023-07-27 12:35:17 +0000 UTCI think its such an interesting dynamic of how dangerous Misa is, but at the same time how pacified she is due to her love of Light. It's a very disturbing scene where even when Light realizes, despite her being kinda crazy, she has a somewhat understandable point of view but he seemingly decides to weaponize and take advantage of her love for him. The scene when they are hugging has almost an angelic tone to it, but it really feels like a follower worshiping a false idol. As far as the coldness that L appears to have towards people losing their lives, I think he is a very logical person to a fault, and while he is not very visibly disturbed by death, his speeches of "putting our life on the line" makes me feel like he has experienced this enough to know its a possibility in order to pursuit justice. When he got scared because of the Shinigami writing, I think what scared him the most about it is that Shinigami is a completely illogical factor that he had to come to terms with! I think what is interesting between L, Light, and Misa is that they all have their own flavor of "crazy" LMAO
