Wow youβre totally right!! Thankyou for highlighting his difference than other villains so far! Come to think of it all of them stands for what they think is right but hordyβs case is entierly different. Its safe to say heβs look past the possibility of worst side effect of the steroid just to pay his revenge. What a crazy character..

The thing to me that is terrifying about Hordy is how seemingly irredeemable he is, even for an enemy. When you look back at many of the major villains the Straw hats had to face - such as Crocodile, Enel, Rob Lucci, and Akainu - they were all bad people that, depending on the way you looked at them, had their own reasons for the way they currently are and the decisions they make. To me this at least gives the impression that at the end of the day, these villians have the capacity to change (like when Crocodile helped out Luffy during Impel down). The scary thing about Hordy being one of the products of the Fishmens anger and hatred, is that it completely clouds the original desire for peace and equality. He is almost the exact opposite of what Queen Otohime wanted for the next generation - instead of having a natural moral and drive to be kind to one another, Hordy just has hatred in his blood.
