Honestly would have loved to throw in anas face: Well until you dont know where OUR daughter is for 12 years we can talk again. cause thats what she did to Luke. I hated the handling of this story line so much.

Same, as I have recently rewatched it all S6 might be overall my Least fave season. And thats also considering how good the first part was. But goddamn the whole Luke lost daughter sl was and is frustrating. I hated how he handled this. (Ana is a whole other case but she isnt one of the mains. who didnt used to suck)

I still remember when I first watched this episode, I was so hopeful for a moment, then the last 10 minutes brought me back to depression lol, I just hate seeing Lorelai sad. And I'm sorry, Anna's reasoning is just absurd, I mean, she didn't mind all the girls spending the night alone with a grown man (I know it's Luke, but the girls' parents don't really know him), but the minute Luke's long time fiancee, whom he obviously trusts, interacts with April, all hell breaks loose? Couldn't she just calmly talk to Luke and ask for a compromise? If she agreed to have Luke in April's life she should know she'd have to deal with these sort of things eventually. IDK, to me the whole situation is so forced, it even makes Luke feel out of character sometimes. Sorry for the rant, many years later, I'm still pissed that GG would do a long lost daughter plot only to keep the main couple apart. And I don't think April is bad either, it's the storyline that sucks. / TL;DR: Almost 2 decades later, I'm still frustrated at season six lol.
BTW, I'm very curious to see how you rank the characters after the season finale, I'm actually kinda scared to see it lol.
P.S. I 100% agree with you about Rory, I've never hated her either, I know she can be annoying, boring and spoiled sometimes, but I could never hate a Gilmore Girl, I love all 3 of them with all of their very much realistic flaws.

Yes agreed! I’ve never hated Rory, I think her having flaws and making mistakes makes her realistic!

Anna & April Nardini are a lazy obstacle thrown in the last minute by the writers not even original I can't stand them as characters and skip every scene they're in. Also, I don't even hate anyone else on the show no matter what the storyline is or the dynamic I still like Rory, Chris etc even when they're annoying but I can't stand Anna & April.

Lol if Logan was admitted to the Seattle Grace hospital they would give Rory all the information including one she wouldn’t need

Agreed, I don’t think she’s an amazing character and could definitely have been done better, but I don’t get the hate for at all, she was great in this episode too

It’s low rated because of the last ten or so minutes. This is why nobody likes Anna. Up there with Christopher as the worst.

Hating on rory is just trendy. I think she's portrayed so well for someone who grew up extremely sheltered and had an entirely new world open up to her at 16 that her mom tried to hide her from. And then realizing that she actually liked that world that her mom shit on so much. It makes sense to me why she flounders as much as she does

I also think it was Luke's insecurity (re. April) showing here. Not a great reason, but he's blunt about it. At least he came around later.

It makes SUCH a huge difference when you engage with the EP, phew! Agree on Rory in general (plus her really strong scene here), and this being one of the better EPs of the season.

Oh man, really? "Defending" Kirk's project and Michel's dance, is all you heard re. the vibe being off in the last reaction? (Sigh. LOL indeed.)
