I don't see how Luke would get a sense of her being "miserable", so far (I mean in her interaction with him). Which is my point, I guess. :)

2024-11-07 16:39:18 +0000 UTCi don’t think lorelai needs or wants to be showered with “flowers”, either. however, she does deserve to be and feel loved. up until the bed scene where he told her, she hasn’t been feeling that way. luke doesn’t need to be a mind reader to see how miserable she is. it’s very obvious. also, lorelai is trying not to rock the boat because she doesn’t want to seem like she’s not supportive of him trying to get to know his daughter. she always is, but in a lot of ways, luke has been emotionally withdrawing from her. he even admitted that he’s been in his own head, and, while that makes sense to some extent, it’s not a great excuse because lorelai is still his fiancée. that’s my only point :)

2024-11-07 16:20:37 +0000 UTCWe still have the talk about eloping, though, for now :) Luke is an often grumpy but sweet guy, not the type to shower someone with flowers and I love you's and such on a daily basis (which, frankly, can be nauseating, too, lol). I think Lorelai needs to speak up though, Luke's distracted and not a mind-reader, especially not currently.

2024-11-07 16:01:35 +0000 UTCi didn’t say he needed to, i was just surprised that he wasn’t, which is where a lot of my issues lie with luke this season. he’s always been great about picking up on lorelai’s emotions. he used to show her that he loved her through his actions, but now he’s not, and he’s rarely, if ever, telling her verbally. just expressing my current disappointment in him :)

Logan honestly I understand wanting to shove it all aside and focus on what time he does have but buddy you gotta plan! Either you follow the path he’s shoving you down or you make plans! Get a job outside his influence, do something! Luke for crying out loud she has to bond with April sometime! He’s talking about eloping with Lorelai in the Summer….so June?! Lorelai please open your mouth and tell him honestly what’s going on in your head. This isn’t healthy!
