ATTENTION JOSEPH! Okay so I'm catching up on GG as I've not watched since the ep when Rory first came home! I just did the adding up and upon giving you time off from reacting over christmas (meaning if you watched until the week before Xmas and took time off until the 8th Jan, YOU WILL FINISH THE ORIGINAL RUN OF GG ON JUNE 4TH!)

And just to be absolutely clear: I’m not defending Logan here, they are both handling this all wrong :) still love both Rory and Logan! :D

So she had no way of knowing...I think Logan goes about this really clumsily, and it's obvious he never had a girlfriend before....like, you have one fight, noone mentions a breakup, and you "know" it's over? Please. :)

Like seriously, no one would not talk with ones boyfriend for so long, it's just so weird... I'm also mad at Logan, it was also his responsibility to talk, but he at least knew they were broken up... And though stupid I still felt so sorry for Rory because even though she should have known she obviously didn't and she was clearly sad.... I know people don't love these later seasons, but I love the drama ;)

Actually I remember signing a petition in 2008-ish called "The great mandate for season 8" encouraging the WB and Amy S.P to reach a compromise and shoot season 8, but as we all know, she left before season 7 and 8 never happened! So April coming on the scene, didn't seem late in the game cuz we expected Gilmore Girls to have way more than 7 seasons!

2024-10-09 15:32:48 +0000 UTCThe Red Sox were notoriously cursed and hadn't won the World Series for 86 years so it was a cultural shorthand for a losing/hapless cause for quite a while, and then when they won it became a handy cultural reference point of the time (esp. for people in the northeast US). It makes a lot of sense here because Luke was a high school athlete canonically and Gilmore Girls is set in Connecticut, which is in New England but also next to New York, so the split between Yankees and Red Sox fans is considered Serious Business (eyeroll). Plus the actor played minor league baseball IRL.
