a tad brutal, yes, but id be lying if i said i wasnt kicking my feet with glee!!! watching their breakup scene my first time around skjskaklaks and to be fair, i do believe it was the right decision because joey does indeed need to understand herself apart from dawson - pursuing art, what it means to her, building friendships, etc. they will be better apart than together as for andie and pacey. i agree abt the chemistry!!!! best on the show at this point, hands down

2024-10-28 23:19:57 +0000 UTCIn all fairness, this wasn't out of the blue. Two episodes prior she told him basically the same thing but didn't know which direction she would go yet. With that said, the timing was not good on Joey's part. I do agree with her that she needs to be happy with herself first and she clearly isn't. She won't be a good partner until she is.

2024-10-09 02:26:33 +0000 UTCLove Andie's addition to the cast here. I think Jen and Joey can both be somewhat cynical, so it's nice to have a female character with a different energy in the mix. Her chemistry with Pacey is great too, and I think she helps right the ship a bit with who he goes after romantically after the disaster storyline that was Tamara.

2024-10-09 01:42:42 +0000 UTCIt's hard to describe how I feel on Andie's character because I have mixed feelings. However her and Pacey are very cute together. And when it comes to Joey, obviously her kissing Jack back was wrong but she has mentioned before that she doesn't feel like she has an identity outside of Dawson, which I feel is valid because they been inseparable since childhood and his house and family has basically been hers too. And if you take away Dawson she wouldn't have much of anything else to fall back on. I think she wants to find herself as an individual first.

Joey distancing herself started showing an episode or two earlier. She’d always just been doing things for him. Started with her drawing I think, realizing she didn’t know who she was without Dawson. Guess that was something she’d never thought about until they were together.
