They both have points, I'm with Izzy though based on the way Hunt handled it. It's not that he's wrong that animal testing isn't often really helpful, but doing it for random practice for interns the way he did isn't comparable to creating a life saving vaccine, or executing a carefully planned experiment that isn't just "hey keep these pigs I'm stabbing in front of you alive".

2024-10-09 22:24:22 +0000 UTChonestly I don't think I was the first time (except for the animal cruelty) but I find hunt annoying, or at least get why the other attendings would... because he's hardcore, and I like that from the get-go it's his character to be to the point, abrasive, no bullshit, military. he brings a lot to the trauma team and the rest of the prissy doctors could learn from him BUT he also has room to grow because this isn't the wild west, if there's enough time to do handle things better there's no need to go out of his way to be careless, crude, or inhumane. like... if I went to a hospital and was treated for trauma as quickly as possible rather than as carefully as possible I'd be pissed - when some of the best surgeons in the world were right there to help. it has to be a balance and he's this new guy who's all quick to the point with soldier mentality and no respect for anyone else's way. (also there was no reason not to warn everyone they'd be working on live animals rather than dramatically stabbing them and being a dick.)

2024-10-07 01:56:23 +0000 UTCThe timeline is wibbly wobbly on Grey’s but I think several months have passed between ep 3 and ep 6. The hospital is put back together after the flood. George’s results from the test came in. Just little stuff that makes it feel like longer than 2 wks. It was winter when Owen was last here but all the snow was gone at the start of this episode.
