Not sure if you know yet, but I remember you thinking Georgia and Joe didn't know they had met before, and I wanted to clear that up. Joe didn't remember until Ginny showed him the sunglasses, but Georgia knew all along. There were a couple little hints, like when he told her about his horses, she said "you finally got your horses." I think the implication is that she brought them to Wellsbury because that interaction was very important to her, and she had always remembered the group of seemingly happy, normal, relatively well-off kids she saw at the rest stop that day, and imagined Wellsbury as an idyllic place to live.
