I completely agree! I've watched the show probably around 50 times and Kirsten's drinking storyline is one of the most well executed ones up until this point. I love it.

2024-10-22 08:17:48 +0000 UTCexactly. she turns to alcohol in times of stress and has even since season one. they also have definitely had comments about her drinking or lingering shots of her drinking sprinkled throughout this season with increasing regularity. the stuff with her dad and lindsay, the sandy stuff. up until this point the show kind of leads you into thinking they arent going to address any of the stuff kirsten has gone through this season because other than a few quickly smoothed over outburts, shes very reserved with her emotions. but i actually think kirsten's alcoholism was one of the better and more well thought out storylines of the entire series.

Only a few episodes into season 1 other characters were commenting on how many glasses of wine she'd had at a party or a dinner. It happened regularly. And this season, she's been drinking constantly. A few episodes ago there was a scene where she they again focused on her drinking, but you happened to be looking down at that moment so you missed it. I actually always appreciated how consistent her drinking was throughout the first two seasons and that it in fact did not come out of nowhere here.
