You made this bed, you lie in it sir! Yeah the dream thing doesn’t really work if people don’t know who she’s talking with. 🤷♀️ it should have just been her and Lorelai. Timelines in this show… I always ignore the “October 4th birthday because it makes no sense. November fits better.” I get it. She didn’t want to make a big deal over her birthday because she wanted to do her original plan. Rory, all your mum wants is for you to have a fucking plan! She asked you what you planned on doing and you had nothing! It’s now months later and you’re still not really doing anything. DAR which you got by being Emily’s daughter. But no plans on anything, you just spend your time being mini Emily and dating Logan. So I’d say she was right to not agree with you coming home to just chill at home. Like I’ve said previously, it was really dumb and impulsive of her to immediately decide to leave Yale after the whole Mitchum thing rather than using the summer to research the other classes Yale offer to see if anything sparked an interest. Rory’s been best friends with Lane the whole time she’s been attending dinner and she still calls her “Rory’s Asian friend” Jesus…. I fucking love Babette and Morey. The original “match each others freak!” Luke and Lorelai being so domestic has my whole fucking heart! Rory rookie mistake telling the reverend about your sex life. Did she honestly think that wasn’t going to get back to them?! Now she’s lost her pool house and gets to room next to her grandparents…. 😅 oh my god Logan’s reaction to it was brilliant. Zack is so blah. I swear I didn’t think he was this bad before. Ugh. Lorelai coming only to basically be ignored the whole time hurts! You didn’t think she’d bring her FIANCÉ?! Jesus Emily. Other than her epic take down of Shira last ep. Emily has been unbearable. Paris and Doyle are so cute! Love how supportive they are of each other. Rory is probably starting to regret her choices which makes sense. Luke giving Rory something that was his mother’s is absolutely beautiful. Oh oops. I didn’t realise Emily didn’t know about the engagement. Like you I assumed Rory would have mentioned it. Richard you can be miserable all you want but come on. She was having sex long before she dropped out of Yale. Wow. Jesus really? So what you failed Lorelai when she got pregnant? Lorelai hasn’t failed! She runs her own business! She’s her own success now and that wouldn’t have happened if she didn’t have Rory and move out on her own! Oh you know that comment really hurt Emily. He didn’t mean it how it sounded. Emily wanted her life this way, Rory had a dream and one guy’s voice let her completely derail her plans. Ugh. It’s so hard to see them struggle to talk. But Rory needs the kick up the backside. Luke offering to do the Halloween thing is so sweet. He sees how much it’s hurting her and he is willing to do whatever he can to make her as happy as possible without Rory in her life.

The actress definitely helps aid that because she nails the role perfectly but the character itself I find very interesting, probably because she reminds me of my mom— which probably sounds like my mom is a bad person (she’s not) or that we have a strained relationship (we don’t) lol but her & Emily are both stubborn & judgmental & can be harsh in their criticisms. Deep DEEP down though I believe Emily loves Lorelei & wants the best for her. She’s just a narrow minded person who can’t let go of past grievances & it prevents her from being able to fully mend her relationship with Lorelei.

2024-09-11 16:14:50 +0000 UTCdon’t worry, the rumor that lauren (lorelai) and scott (luke) don’t like each other isn’t true! they both only have lovely things to say about each other even now. lauren complimented scott a bunch in her book and scott is always gushing over her on his podcast. they’ve also interacted on instagram a lot recently. it was just one of those early 2000s tabloid rumors that got out of control because they had a cordial, co-workers type relationship instead of being as close as L&L on the show.
