Late to the convo, I am definitely team Logan all the way. BUT one of the things I most enjoy about GG is the relatability aspect. I think dean is the perfect first boyfriend, Jess is that bad boy that you need to date in order to learn/grow and Logan while flawed is a great partner for Rory and actually has great development throughout the series

His friends are rich assholes, but he invited Rory out, and Marty with no attitude - both could've said no - and then offered to pay because he took them out. I get Marty saying no out of pride but I also think Logan was perfectly polite.

And I do love Jess, but team Logan always. He's the most overhated boyfriend for no reason imo, he's flawed but not to the extent antis paint him. Jess was great in buildup and chemistry but as a bf it's glossed over how awful he was, rude to her mum, made no time for Rory, was constantly dishonest, left without saying goodbye (after forcing himself on Rory and then getting pissy with her, called her at graduation and said nothing while she cried over the phone saying goodbye, and then showed up and love bombed her? While he was actually with Rory he was AWFUL - I prefer seeing Jess' development with Luke. Logan was always honest about who he was and self aware of his flaws and privilege (even though I'm pretty sure that's what most people hate about him) without using them as an excuse. He's not perfect but he's 100% overhated.
