the season is definetly the worst so far you can tell this season has a new showrunner. a different vibe to the first 2 seasons as the main couple has not enough screentime and love/happy scenes of them were cut and apart from the last minutes we didnt see them happy. characters like Benedict act out of the established character. so many good scenes from the book are missing or changed (the friendship between Lady Danbury and Penelope, Colin and Pen revealing she is Whistledown at Daphnes ball with a love declaration by him and the support of the whole family and Simon) and too much focus on unnecessary/dragged on side story, the best couple of the season was still Anthony and Kate and they wrote them of lazily to India which doesnt make sense. the change from Micheal to Micheala is horrible. Invent new charcters for the missing lgbtq pairs cause now Francescas bookstory is thrown out the window. and they've shown that they can establish a pair like Brimsley and Reynolds in Queen Charlotte and Benedict is bi which is great cause it doesnt take away his book partner and was established or hinted in season 1. What they are shown in this episode is taking away from Francesca and John

2024-06-15 17:54:23 +0000 UTCThey haven’t officially confirmed it, but next season is going to be Benedict. His love story starts at a masquerade ball as referenced at the end of the episode. I assume Francesca will have a big side plot about her marriage to John since her story takes a few years to develop before it will be her main season. My guess is that Eloise will spend some time with Francesca but also be involved in Benedict’s storyline since they have such a bond so I think she will be his confidante. It makes sense since she is the most able to help him understand defying society which is a huge part of Benedict’s love story with Sophie.

Also I don’t think they will do a double story because Fran and Eloise both have really big and important story’s.

2024-06-15 10:44:41 +0000 UTCSo, none of the characters are LGBTQ+ in the books, and while some book readers hate the changes that were made this season, I don’t mind them! I thought part 2 of this season was better than part 1 and overall, it was really good! I adore Penelope and it was good to see her happy and to see a not-thin female character in intimate scenes👏🏼
