2024-06-19 17:51:56 +0000 UTCI think people don’t like who Rory is when she is with him. Just going off what’s been shown so far, she’s very comfortable with Logan’s party scene. But people don’t like to give Rory the agency to make her own decisions.

2024-06-07 01:39:09 +0000 UTCI'd also argue that its hard to compare the boyfriends entirely because a lot of comparisons are between teen Jess's actions and adult Logan's actions so it never truly a fair view as we don't get to see teen Logan. I think potentially is why people don't like Logan that much because he's still quite an immature, entitled and reckless adult (even though he is smart and kind as well). Logan is definitely 100% better than Dean though, without a doubt.

2024-06-06 05:01:20 +0000 UTCAs a long-time Team Logan member, I think the main reason people don't like him is because he isn't Jess. Which is a dumb reason. People also seem to dislike him because he is privileged, which is weird for this show. Like everyone on this show is privileged, even if they pretend otherwise. I think he and Rory are a great match because neither of them is perfect. They both make mistakes and do bad things sometimes, but he understands her more than the other boyfriends. He can keep up with her intellectually and culturally and encourages her to grow and get out of her shell, which she needs. I think a lot of people didn't like him when the show aired because they still wanted her with Jess. But as time has gone on and people have found the show later, Logan has become more popular to the modern audience. He is probably her second most popular boyfriend now, since Dean looks worse and worse as time goes by and people still worship Jess (which i do not entirely understand personally but to each their own).

Kirk playing Tevye was always one of my favorite things about Gilmore Girls. Anything Kirk can't do?

Like all of Rory's other romantic interests, he's a flawed character and there will be reasons for him to be both loved and hated by the audience. You'll see them throughout the show. None of them are universally liked by the audience. Personally, I like his character simply because, among Rory's boyfriends, he's the one who appreciates her the most and treats her better. A good example of this is in this very episode: Logan asked for Rory's consent twice before moving forward. Remember how Dean and Jess tried to get with her... One tried to force himself on her and the other lied to get what he wanted. Many things will happen that will give us reasons to love and hate Rory, Lorelai, Luke, Emily, and all the other characters, but it is what it is... Don't worry too much about people's opinions on the show. A passionate fanbase tends to have extreme feelings about the characters.

But having watched it many times since then, my mind has changed a bit, so I'm super curious to check in with your thoughts on Logan for Rory going forward. And to hear your thoughts on all of the love interests after finishing the main show, and then (hopefully) after the "Year in the Life" reunion show as well. I look forward to these every week, super happy you're still enjoying the show :)

Logan isn’t perfect by any means, but he’s fun and intelligent and it’s nice to see Rory date a guy that isn’t all brooding anger all the time like both Dean and Jess
