Reward Tier Consideration
Added 2017-03-25 06:39:02 +0000 UTCSo while I'm not quite sure what I put in 'goals' yet, I do have some ideas for what I'm gonna do with reward tiers.
My main ideas to start out with are gonna be
1. Polls to help decide which monster/scene to prioritize next when I need some help making decisions
2. Early access to release/near-release builds. as well as progress builds that contain the latest stuff in-between public releases.
These are pretty much my ideas for the moment, which I'll likely be implementing once I get closer to an initial MGQ demo build, and which will also apply to HDoom as I get more work done. But, as always, I'll be thinking of more down the road + keeping my ears open for any good suggestions.
In the meantime, I'm just making the post to put some ideas out on the table and to show that I have plans to make this page a bit more participatory beyond just a simple tip jar in the future.

Let's see if we can use some "Psychology" in here, You have quite a decent amount of followers for, let's face it , a niche genre, That on itself is impressive, That been said, you should offer NOTHING in return. People are following you because they enjoy your work, Once you start pleasing people, you will give THEM what they want , which will be more directed (Which means that some backers will be happy on the expanse of others). Rewarding backers via crowd funding is a slippery slope on itself, Happened to the best of the artists, Can lead to extra work, inability to work on your own art, SELF-CENSORSHIP for the sake of backers (exclusive NSFW versions) and so on, You are better than that sir. What most of us want to see, is just you, working on your own stuff. Just do what you do best, regardless of your supporters.
2017-05-01 20:24:42 +0000 UTCIt´s hard, as a Gamemaker to reward the people who support you, without get the attention of the paywall crowd ^^ First of all, you should know, that Gamemaker can only offer a limited amount of stuff. -early builds -insight into working -scribbles or ideas -side created things, that would never see the daylight under normal circumstances. -polls -things, you created, because you just feeled like it. My take is, you can reward your patreons with stuff, that you normally wouldn´t have done/shared Always wanted to make this Character, who is not directly linked to your games? Why not? You can express some of your other ideas, without hurting other people, but under normal circumstances, it wouldn´t have been created/shared. Like. Hey, you like horror. Why not thinking about making a horror RPG maker game like *angel of death* *mad father* *corpse party* etc. (found able on steam) You have the freedom to share any ideas you want. And give any goodies you want. In the end, here are gathered the people, who are interested in you and your work. Tldr: honor patreons with things, that you normally wouldn´t share or create.
