2024-01-25 16:52:44 +0000 UTCI dunno, I think it was good to see Rory (and Paris) out of their comfort zone, it was a bit cliche about how spring break is but they reference that in the episode so I don’t mind it so much. I think if it was filmed in a way like One Tree Hill would’ve done an ep like this I.e. zooming in on Rory in a swimsuit in a sexual way, having loads of guys drooling o ver her e.t.c id agree with you, but she was just in a swimsuit, a guy looked at her a couple of times and Paris drunk kissed her just to check a mark aha, it was a fun ep (but respect what you’re saying too)

Like some studio exec wanted to make Gilmore Girls into some sexy, scandalous show and told them that they needed college girl Rory to put on a swimsuit and go on spring break, getting drunk, drunk dialing an ex, and kissing a female friend. And as a bonus, Luke goes to jail! And the writers saw this and thought that none of it fit, and they did the tamest scandalous episode possible, almost to prove that they're not that show. All a theory on my part though.
