Each episode was based around one of Edgar's poems which I loved.

I don't know if these are the actual poems by E.A.Poe used in the show but they are definitely written in the same verse. If you read "Annabel Lee" 1849, you will notice the resemblance. "Nevermore/evermore" is also seems to be taken from his poem "The raven".

I don't care about Prospero being a sex addict or Napoleon's addiction to drugs or Tamerlane's sex games...what Frederick did to his wife is 10 times worse. So glad she survived and dedicated her life to saving people.
