I really love the way Grey's just layers on the chaos to reach maximum dramatic intensity. Izzie cutting the LVAD wire would be dramatic in and of itself what with Denny's life in the balance and Izzie (and by proxy, George) putting her medical career on the line. But also there's a shooting at the hospital, and you see Burke bleeding out on the ground. The show isn't satisfied with just one watercooler moment; they want you to have five to talk about at once.
