I actually watch this show as if it is meant to be a comedy and campy. Which I also *kind of* think it is. So to me this show is highly entertaining and meme worthy. I see many people shitting on Abel’s acting, but I think Abel knows very well what he is doing with his character. I think Tedros is meant to be a looser, cringy and insecure. Not this scary, charismatic man that has everyone shaking in their boots out of fear as soon as he enters the door. More like ”who tf even is this weird ass creepy rat taled creepo?“ Like, Abel isn’t trying to make Tedros scary and threatening and therefore failing as an actor - he is playing Tedros who *tries* to come off as a threatening, bad ass mf but really he’s just a dufus who is good at manipulating people he can find a weekness in to exploit. Also, I think Tedros has found his match in Jocelyn and is now realizing this. Think about the very first scene in the series, Jocelyn doing all these different facial expressions, she definitely knows how to play off the innocent little girl who lost her abusive mom and use it to her advantage. But we don’t really know much of the backstory though. What if Jocelyn was the one who abused her mom? Maybe she wasn’t all innocent? Xavier did say some things while being electrocuted, and obviously lied at the end because he didn’t want to be hurt anymore.. Even Tedros was like… 🤨 for a second. Idk, Tedros and Jocelyn are definitely both playing chess. I’m also really biased towards Abel because I’m a die hard The Weeknd fan since 2013. I was at his concert tour last week and it was fantastic and my mind is completely blurred, all I’ve done since is listen to his music, sooo my ability to stay objective here might be a little weak lmao. BUT, I do think Abel is completely aware of how campy and cringy Tedros (and the whole show really) is! 😅 I do understand the critics of the show though, like it’s not fantastic by any means. Didn’t mean to write a whole ass novel, but I’m bored and have nothing better to do 🤠
