Yes, I agree. I was on the fence with Kate and in the later seasons she grew on me and I found myself agreeing with her more than Toby. Yes, their storyline this season is very well done, I loved it soo much! This season is sensational in all the ways, so touching, a perfect bow to wrap a perfect show.

2023-05-21 20:28:50 +0000 UTCKate still kinda annoys me in the past timelines sometimes, but I've been vibing with her in the present day timeline since, like, the second half of season five, I think. Her and Toby have switched places for me and he's the one that's been slowly getting on my nerves. But I love it in terms of the story, the dissolution of their relationship is SO well done. I love how tiny the cracks are with every passing episode; you really don't notice it untilit's this huge, gaping thing. But in terms of Kate telling Rebecca she and Toby aren't comfortable with her watching the kids alone anymore -- I don't think that was Kate being an asshole, I think it's a realistic, but painful decision she had to make and it was seemingly one she was still struggling with the whole episode. And Rebecca's reaction was understable, too. The realities of her disease are so, so rough. IDK, I'm very attached to this storyline because it's relatable to my family and the writers are definitely nailing this stuff, too.
