So props to Ross's willpower this episode because everyone knows she's the sexiest to him! Matt LeBlanc is actually very fluent in French but he found it funny that had to act that he couldn't speak French. And yes, do both parts back to back! 😁

2023-04-12 21:06:31 +0000 UTCi love this ep. fun fact: in french dubbed version of this ep Joey tries to learn spanish :)) the last one part 1 and part 2 ran as one episode. I don't think any reflection time needed between them. but its up to you of course.

2023-04-12 21:01:17 +0000 UTCI feel like this episode is a good highlight episode in terms of flanderization and how Friends ended at a perfect time. Flanderization is a term named after Ned Flanders where the longer a series goes on, the less depth a character gets and the more they just become a catchphrase or a single trait, like Ned Flanders and how he speaks. Another one is Homer Simpson and how with each season he got dumber and dumber. Just like Joey, each season he got dumber and dumber and I think this episode, where he cant even speak French no matter what, is like his flanderizing moment. Thats just TOO dumb to be realistic. But to have it like 5 episodes before the end is great and really showed that Friends knew when to end it and ended at its peak before it ran out of ideas or made the characters into silly singular traits. It never became that show that ruined itself by going on too long, even though it went on as long as it did.
