Yeah the acting on this show is some of my favorite on television, the subtlety and nuances in their performances really make you feel like you're watching real people. Sterling K Brown is a standout but there is not one character on this show (the children, the guest starring roles and surprisingly the extras) that feels unnatural. Kevin and Randalls journey has been one of the strongest parts of this show which is why I'm kind of glad they had that big fallout last season, and the way they've paced their reunion is also great

2023-04-03 00:47:16 +0000 UTCThis is a great episode! I'm also glad they really focused on just Kevin and Randall to kind of finally squash this tension they've had their whole life. I also liked that they added in a Mr. Rogers reference. He died in 2003, but was known for being very kind and talking to children about serious issues like racism, death, or disability in a way that was appropriate and informative. While I do agree with you that Jack gave Randall more of his time, I always felt like Jack's "favorite" was Kate and Rebecca's "favorite" was Randall, leaving poor Kevin out, which undeniably led to his frequent behavioral issues. Also, if I'm not mistaken, apart from Sterling, two other actors won Emmys. Gerald McCraney who played Dr. K won one, and Ron Cephas Jones who played William won two I think. All three of those actors very well deserved their wins!
