I’m not gonna lie as a military spouse it’s always irritating to me when shows try to make such a big deal out of such small amounts of time. Omg Karen is going to Italy for 6 weeks, oh no Nathan going to Florida for 3 months would just be way too long to be away from Haley. My Husband was gone for 18 months overseas and he’s on another 6 month deployment now. If the love is there and your relationship is strong it doesn’t matter how long you have to be apart. It might be an unpopular opinion but I can’t help but roll my eyes every time a character just can’t stand to be away from someone for what they perceive as a “long time” when really it’s no long at all.
