In defense of Matt. Both his parents have been AWOL. His mom returns sure, but she's an alcoholic mess who acts like she's the high-schooler. Matt has to think about work and paying rent and bills and he's like 16-17 years old! Caroline, I love her but she has NO IDEA how rough Matt has it, AND he's still keeping up at school. That's a lot.
