Yeah, agreed with pretty much all of this! Amazing show for sure but some of the choices with characters feel a little out of place, but not too extremely like with other shows haha

I 100% agree that it felt very unlike the character they’d been building up since ep 1 and although i personally dislike Lucas i felt for him in this scenario. He just needed his mom to comfort him and instead she reacted completely opposite of what what was expected. In regards to Brooke i understand in a way why she lied, not that it makes it okay but i at least saw where it was coming from. As for Nathan he was a little confusing in this one, i didn’t agree with how he handled things at all but he’s definitely a strong character and this was still a solid and enjoyable episode. Definitely looking forward to your reactions as we near the end of the season, this show is one of my favourites so i’m really glad you’re enjoying it so much !

2021-03-18 04:07:03 +0000 UTCYeah I see what you’re saying about it being her biggest fear coming true for sure, for me I’ll never side with a parent who physically abuses their son or daughter I guess and it just felt very out of character for her to just hit him when he’s clearly hurt too. There are 9 seasons of course so yeah it depends what her character does from this point onwards, just felt bad for Lucas 😭

2021-03-17 16:27:36 +0000 UTCI don’t think Karen is ruined for that, it was her biggest fear coming to life, scared that Lucas was going to turn out like her or Dan. She also probably had more trust in Lucas and thought he’d be more responsible than she was as a teen. It was just a slap, shit if I told my mom I was pregnant I would’ve got disowned💀
