I watched the next ep straight after this one, and yeah I agree their relationship was getting a bit messy and to bad it ended like this (for now, I’m sure they’ll still have romance brewing in future eps)

2021-03-09 17:07:31 +0000 UTCThe way I’ve always seen it is that Rachel didn’t want to hook up with Mark, he just invited himself round, so she poured her heart out to him about how she doesn’t want to be broken up with Ross. Either way, they were getting to a very toxic place in their relationship & I’m glad Rachel realised this & ended it... I’d say the next episode serves as a part 2 to this one, and it’s definitely one of my all time favourite episodes
