2020-07-02 20:21:32 +0000 UTCThis is the last time we see marcel. He is mentioned in a later season but it’s a general consensus in the fandom that the marcel storyline was pretty bad so they decided not to bring him back and joke about Ross ever owning a monkey in a later season.

Season 1, ratings wise, the show was the 5th most watched on TV at time, in the first half of this season it was fluctuating around 4th-5th, these 2 episodes are the ones that catapulted the show in the Top 3 (because it had such a big audience), where it would stay until the very end.
