Stop Posting Spoilers
Added 2020-04-06 11:20:57 +0000 UTCI've been told on the Discord that there are spoilers being commented (mainly on Glee reactions) and I'm making this post to let anyone that is doing so know that you'll be blocked from the Patreon page if it happens again. I love the community we have on Patreon and i love reading all the comments here, but I don't want it to be like YouTube where I'm having to be cautious reading them.
I'm not stupid believe it or not aha, you hinting at things in future episodes makes things EXTREMELY obvious and ruins any surprise I may have in future episodes. Stop ruining the show, no matter how small a detail for future episodes just hold off on anything you have to say about it UNTIL I get to that episode, which should be very obvious be evidently isn't aha.
Thank you to everyone who comments and can manage to hold off revealing anything, y'all are the greatest!

2020-04-07 13:51:57 +0000 UTCThank you for making this post Joe. Reading the patreon comments on the last glee post was upsetting. The amount of spoilers people wrote were insane. Many of them weren’t even related to anything in the episode too. I also saw major spoilers on your Merlin reactions. People just can’t help themselves. The worst is the vague spoiling because they think it’s subtle and they can get away with it. Hopefully, this new rule will stop people.

2020-04-07 01:00:44 +0000 UTCPeople just need to stop hinting at anything in future episodes. If it hasn't happened yet, don't mention it, don't hint at it. Just leave it be, he'll watch the episode eventually and you can talk about it then. A lot of us pay $15 a month for the Glee reactions, we don't want them spoiled :(

2020-04-06 20:29:45 +0000 UTCI think mods are the only reason her reactions didn't get completely totaled by spoilers...the BTVS fandom is great but it's also the worst when it comes to those "clever" and ""subtle"" remarks, plus expectation spoilers. The Buffy comments section is the only one I usually read in full because I'm always just waiting to see someone take it too far...on Patreon, anyway. I can't stand looking at the YT section anymore because it disturbs my inner peace.

2020-04-06 16:49:49 +0000 UTCIsn't that the opposite of a spoiler, though? Genuine question. People who post spoilers without warnings or who try to be "subtle" and sly are so annoying, but those who preface comments with a warning and tell reactors not to read their comment/reply are, I feel, doing the right thing.

2020-04-06 15:44:11 +0000 UTCAlso I'm not sure if I'm guilty of this to be honest. I hope not lol. I usually view my comments as common knowledge (just explaining situations that you misunderstood. For example, like when Puck was 18 and sleeping with the teacher, not a spoiler because it said he was 18 multiple times before he slept with her). But idk maybe certain things are spoilers? Hopefully I didn't play a part in spoiling anything. ❤

2020-04-06 14:55:59 +0000 UTCThe other day someone responded to my comment on Glee legit saying "spoiler alert: don't read Joe" I was like wtf? 😂

2020-04-06 14:53:03 +0000 UTCI'm so glad you've said this! I know After Show Reactions felt like her viewing experience of Buffy was completely ruined by well-meaning fans making "clever" and "witty" comments that anyone with a brain could deduce information from. A lot of fans don't realise that even saying shit like "Oo you're gonna looove the next episode!!!" or "Have tissues ready for the next ep" impacts your experience and expectations. And that's just the best case scenario, with well-meaning fans. On the other hand, you're gonna come across people who are willing to drop total spoilers because you're liking a character they don't want you to like, or vice versa. I'm glad you've made this post before something like that has happened, because I've seen people do it to others just to be spiteful and push their own opinions.

2020-04-06 14:01:11 +0000 UTCI have to agree, I really noticed it the week Elite season 3 was happening, I just wanted to jump on and read what others thought about the episode only to see a lot of the comments were just about Glee and where Glee was..

2020-04-06 12:54:13 +0000 UTCAlso on the subject of Glee reactions, I've been kinda finding them to most... aggressive and demanding of the reaction fandoms? I'm not a Glee watcher but even I know what they're like because they can get kinda invasive in the comments and patreons of other reactions being like "WHERES GLEE? THIS ISN'T GLEE? WHERE THE FUCK IS GLEE" and it seems very demanding of them. I don't find this with any other reaction fandom on here, only Glee. I mean I get that they're passionate and excited but I find it a bit rude for them to go into the comments of other reaction shows and being like "This sucks upload more Glee this isn't Glee so I dont care where's Glee upload Glee instead of this show" etc.

2020-04-06 12:29:39 +0000 UTCThe most annoying spoilers to me are the ones where the people dont consider them spoilers for example when they're like "Oh you're gonna LOVE who this character ends up with" and its like ok well just because you didn't say the character name doesnt make it not a spoiler because now I know that the character ends up with someone and I only love 3 characters so I know its gonna be one of those 3 now.

2020-04-06 12:22:03 +0000 UTCI get that people are excited but its important to keep others feelings in mind even if you don’t think it’s really a spoiler don’t post it just in case. I know for me I feel like I constantly get spoiled just from YouTube showing me a thumbnail. It’s the worst feeling and it’s frustrating. That’s the exact reason I don’t even watch trailers anymore. I’m sure many feel the same.

2020-04-06 11:51:07 +0000 UTCThank you. I was getting annoyed myself
2020-04-06 11:45:28 +0000 UTCIt's so frustrating that people don't know when to quit. I see the same excuse, "I just can't help it" or something like that. Try learning some self control.

2020-04-06 11:44:17 +0000 UTCThe fact that you had write this is really unfortunate, it should be a given

2020-04-06 11:33:45 +0000 UTCI can't tell you how often I see people be like 'yeah what happened there sucks, but here's all the things that are gonna happen across the next three seasons so it's okay' on Glee reactions and it's just so odd? I don't get how they don't think explaining what is going to happen is a spoiler?
