2020-03-17 16:34:55 +0000 UTCCarl Gallagher is the single most wonderful human being to exist and I am NOT exaggerating. Until you bring Buffy Summers into the equation, that is. Love both shows, but for consistent character development, consistent quality of writing, and just a general feeling that the writers actually fucking care about the characters they've created, it really is no contest. They're both in my top 5 shows ever, but Buffy really is miles ahead of Shameless. Having said that, season 4 of Shameless is one of my favourite seasons of any show ever made. So excited for you to experience it!

2020-03-17 06:41:07 +0000 UTCPersonally, although I love Buffy, I would also say Shameless has better writing and makes me so much more emotional plus the acting is just amazing from majority of the actors. The scene with Ian and Mickey broke my heart because clearly Mickey wants to be with him but because of his father he can't be who he is. Also, even though Frank is a terrible father that moment with Carl and him in the hospital was so cute

2020-03-17 04:31:21 +0000 UTCI personally love season 3,4 and 7 the rest for me have been really good. I actually stopped watching after 7 not sure why just fell off I guess. Shameless is one where I felt content dropping it, every season ends really nicely where if you don’t continue you still feel very satisfied in the end. I really love season 4 I think it’s even better than 3 so I hope you enjoy it! Love this episode! I actually think Buffy is better written personally, not in consistency because in that area objectively I think shameless is better. But more in terms of complexity. Many would disagree and that’s totally fine. 😊 I just think there is so much under the surface of Buffy intentionally using the villains and situations as metaphors for exploring deeper meanings that you can miss completely on first viewing, that to this day is so fun to dive deep into and analyze. To be fair though I’ve seen all of Buffy and you really haven’t gotten to the peak of Buffy yet we’re as I think the peak of shameless is season 3 and 4. But both shows are honestly so different and amazing on their own so you can’t go wrong. In the end its not about which is better it’s celebrating how sick both shows are and that your enjoying them so much! 😁♥️
