Definitely agreed, excellent show

As far as a suggestion after finishing Death Note or Korra I HIGHLY recommend Haikyuu!! I think it’s as close to perfect as anime can get. Amazing character designs, beautiful animation and great music hold it up so well and every character is phenomenal all getting incredible development. the new season is airing now, it’s quite a popular anime so it might bring in a decent viewing. Sorry, don’t mean to be pushy I just want more people to watch it so I can talk about it more 😅 and your reactions would be Hype!

the final scenes still get me so emotional omg ..... im so proud of jinora but poor korra ...... As for suggestions though, I saw someone already suggested the Dragon Prince but that one is definitely more of a kids show than Avatar imo, I'm not sure you'd enjoy it as much? I could be wrong. Did you ever watch Fullmetal Alchemist?

Something that's really cool about this season is the narrative symmetry. Zaheer gained airbending from harmonic convergence which he sees as a sign of his righteousness. But he was stopped by a bunch of air benders who also got their powers from the same event. He believes in a completely free and lawless society, but the entire time he is fighting Korra, she is in chains. And those chains are what she ultimately uses to catch him and bring him down. Each of the other 3 villains died from the weaknesses or limitations of their own extreme bending. The destructive potential of explosions, the conductivity of water, and the instability that lava creates by flowing under earth... I mean... brilliant!

I think you'll enjoy Season 4 but in my opinion it did not reach the greatness of Season 3. I won't go into details but to me Season 4 was on part with Season 1, where as Season 3 was on par with the best of ATLA. Talking about Season 3 though, incredible setup, buildup and execution, as you said. Great villains, solid arc for airbenders, Korra at her best so far as a character. Great animation and great music. It has been perfect for me.

Season 4 is really good in my opinion. The main thoughts for most is either it's on par with season 3, so really good. Or it's not good at all. I hope you enjoy it because I think its brilliant to see the main character suffering like this. And some people got upset because of the ending of the series but I stay optimistic that you'll enjoy it.

This is a solid recommendation.

I love how their whole plan is, "Yeah bro we'll just force her into the Avatar state and then kill her," like forcing the Avatar into the Avatar state isn't literally the most dangerous thing you could ever do.

A show you might enjoy after Kora is The Dragon Prince on Netflix. It is created by the original head writer of Last Airbender and even has sokka's voice actor as the main character

I feel so bad for kora at the end. Ofcourse she is happy for jinora, but to feel so helpless has to be hard when you're supposed to be the protector of the world. And even though Tenzin's intentions are good he basically just said hey we don't need you right now, the aribenders got this.

Season 4 is very good, the villain has greatness but I don’t think is as strong as these were but the reason I love this season is that there are actual effects and consequences that happen to korra not everything ends with a nice bow it shows especially in the final shot, I find it sad and heartbreaking seeing her broken. What she had to endure really effects korra and you can just see it all over her face. You feel the joy of seeing Jinora get her tattoos and then end on that sad shot really effects me when I see that final scene and this seasons events does play a huge part in season 4 with korra as a character which that’s why season 3 and 4 remain my favorite. They flow together much nicer and there are some epic episodes next season as well. Very excited for the next one!
