2020-01-27 06:54:14 +0000 UTCI have a friend that enjoyed Angel the Series more than Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In Buffy, Angel was pretty much her boyfriend with the big past but in Angel he gets a chance to have his own enemies and more backstory, it really makes him feel like a complete character. Plus I will say that you may see characters from Buffy in Angel and there might be a crossover or two. I would say that the first 2 seasons of Angel along side of Buffy makes the most sense because of some linked episodes. I think Angel has some amazing episodes but season 1 can be slow because it is trying to establish its own themes, tone and pacing.
